R.A.D. Registered Teacher’s Status, Ballet
A.I.S.T.D. Modern Theatre Dance, National and Tap A.I.D.T.A. Modern and Tap

I am a member of the Royal Academy of Dance Committee for the South West, Wales, and Channel Islands Region.

Trained with Pamela De Waal at Paignton where I studied Ballet, Modern, Tap, National, Greek, Highland and Scottish taking exams in all these subjects. Performed in Shows and dancing festivals in the South West, at Filey, North Yorkshire and All England at London. Then moved to Olga Cooper at Exeter the worldwide R.A.D. Vocational Examiner continuing with more technical work.

I went on to train at Stella Mann, London gaining the Teacher’s Diploma. where I was taught by two R.A.D Vocational examiners who taught at the Royal Academy H.Q. and the Royal Ballet School. I also taught at schools in the London area. Upon returning I taught for Miss Cooper taking the Ballet Modern and Tap classes from Pre-Primary to Advanced 2 inc. plus at several outside schools including Stoodley Knowle Torquay. Upon Miss Cooper’s retirement I started my own school in Paignton at my studio. Having to move out of the premises I taught for Gaynor Walter the ISTD examiner at Newton Abbot (now Deborah Bond Academy) taking the ballet classes. And at the Torbay Leisure Centre, plus Stoodley Knowle School from Grade 2 to Advanced 1 inc.

The opportunity arose to purchase the Bovey Tracey branch and so the long road started. Followed by the Chagford branch and into several halls in different areas.

We now have two assistants Emma Berger and Rebecca Marks who teach all the subjects.

In the last year I have taught for musicals, pantomimes, shows, concerts, dancing festivals.
